This is a nice small Baroque church, designed by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer and built during 1730-1739. Its twin square towers are set at a sharp angle to the church’s narrow facade. A double staircase leads up to the west front, and the interior is based on an octagonal floorplan. Inside the church, you will see the fresco of the Apotheosis of St John on the Rock from 1748, as well as a wooden model of the sculpture of St John on the Rock, which is now placed on the Charles Bridge.
Location: Na Slupi (bellow Charles Square); In Czech: kostel Sv. Jana na Skalce
