Travelling from Prague to Salzburg is quite a long and tiring journey. There are two direct trains every day, and the faster of the trains runs the distance in 6 hours and 33 minutes.
The direct trains leave from Prague – Hlavni nadrazi (the main station), destined for Salzburg – Hauptbahnhof (Salzburg’s Central Railway Station).

Buying tickets
You can either buy tickets online or at major stations from the international counter. If you do not have time, you can also purchase tickets from the conductor once you board the train (but you will be charged a hefty supplement). A one-way ticket without any promotional discounts costs 1319 CZK (approximately 47 EUR). If you wish to purchase tickets online, be warned that some international websites selling tickets do charge an extra booking fee, and you might end up paying up to twice as much compared to if you buy the tickets directly from the Czech Railways website.
Alternative: Private transfer by taxi, minibus or bus.
