Completed in 1401 with its multi-spired steeple, St Stephen’s was re-Gothicised in the 1870s by Josef Mocker. Among its fine Baroque paintings are The Baptism of Christ by Karel Škréta and St John Nepomuk by Jan Jiři Heinsch. Its greatest treasure is a beautiful Gothic panel painting of the Madonna, known as Our Lady of St Stephen Hating from 1472.
