Admission Fee to Historical Premises of Prague Castle
Entry to castle courtyards, gardens and the nave of the Cathedral of St Vitus is free. There are four types of tickets. The most expensive one is for 350 CZK (adult) or 520 CZK (family), allowing you to see everything or choose where you want to go and buy an appropriate ticket.

- Reduced admission: children aged 6 – 16, high school and college students up to age 26, and senior citizens over 65Â
- Family admission: 1 – 5 children under 16 and up to 2 adults
-  Free admission: children under 6, disabled persons; most sights are free also for Prague Cardholders
Tickets are valid for two days and are available from all ticket offices of Prague Castle. Tickets for 20+ persons may be ordered by e-mail to [email protected] no fewer than three weekdays before the date of the tour. It is necessary to state the customer’s address, telephone number and the required date of the tour.Â
How to get there
The nearest metro station is Malostranska, but there is quite a steep climb up the Old Castle Steps. You can also get off at Hradcanska and walk from there (around 10min.). Another option is to take tram no. 22 or 23. You can get off at Prague Castle stop or if you want to explore Hradcany could stay on until Pohorelec stop.Â
Guided Tours & Information Centre
Opposite the main entrance of the Cathedral of St. Vitus is an information centre where you can organise a guided tour, get maps or tickets. One hour guided tour around the castle cost 450 CZK per person (plus an additional person just 90 CZK). There’s also a currency exchange office and ATM.
