Unfortunately, most rock clubs are in Prague’s suburbs. A few rock clubs remain in the city centre but struggle to survive due to the strict noise regulations. A popular choice in the centre is Rock CafĂ©; though quite commercial, it plays live rock. There are quite a lot of small Czech bands playing rock in small clubs, so check the latest announcements in newspapers.Â
Rock Café
This is a nice live music disco. The club’s ground floor houses Jim Beam Bar, an internet cafĂ©, concert hall, CD bazaar, and a store that sells recording and sound equipment. The Absolut Bar (offering the complete assortment of Absolut vodka), a movie theatre, and a gallery is located in the basement.
