These modern rickshaws are powered by young bilingual men with strong legs – although a small electric motor does kick in to help them up hills. From past successes since launching in Berlin in 1997, velotrixis are now transporting tourists and locals alike in 40 towns in 17 countries, and now they are in Prague. These two-passenger pseudo-vehicles run 45-minute routes around the tourist areas of town for 600 CZK. If you see an empty one, flag him down – short rides are available for 200 CZK minimum. It can get bumpy on the cobbles, but it’s a lazy, airy way to see the sights (and if you wish, you get your photo taken).
Hours of operation: 09:00 – 22:00.
